CeBIT Asia
CeBIT Asia is the region’s premier business-to-business technology trade fair. Held at the impressive Shanghai New International Expo Centre on October 10-13, CeBIT Asia is now in its seventh year and is firmly established as the number one business showcase for the China and North Asia markets.
Like other CeBIT global events, CeBIT Asia in Shanghai is divided into highly targeted show floor areas, ranging from computer hardware and peripherals, to business process and manufacturing systems, to communications, which remains one of the fastest growth markets in China.
CeBIT Asia 2007 will again feature a heavy focus on e-finance and security systems. The ‘Asia E-Finance and Information Security Summit Forum’ and ‘E-Finance & Security Show at CeBIT Asia 2007′ will convene more than 400 leaders from domestic Chinese banking institutions and more than 170 China-based foreign banks. The forum will also attract both foreign and domestic Chinese banking regulators who cover e-finance matters.
For the first time, CeBIT Asia 2007 features a special cooperation with Alibaba.com, the world’s largest B2B online community. Alibaba is the B2B market leader in China, and the partnership with CeBIT Asia offers an unusual combination of offline and online trading communitities.
Of special interest within the China market are advances in robotics, and CeBIT Asia 2007 will feature a special ‘Robotics Promotion and Experience Area’ for demonstrations of all kinds of robots – from Humanoid robots and industrial robots and speech-controlled wheel chairs.
Vehicle-mounted and personal device GPS navigation systems, together with all manner of fixed and mobile communications solutions are also heavily featured. In 2007, advances in 3G mobile telephony is expected to be one of the hottest technologies on show, with China a voracious consumer of mobile phone services.
As with previous events, CeBIT Asia will be held concurrently with CeMAT Asia, the international fair for materials handling and logistics, and PTC Asia, the leading exhibition for power transmission and control. The combined exhibitions attract a total more than 2,000 exhibitors and 70,000 business visitors, making the event the largest of its kind in China.
The three shows present a perfect mix of information technology, and industrial manufacturing technology, creating an integrated professional industrial pageant that acts as an ideal springboard to both the domestic China and broader Asian markets.
CeMAT Asia 2007
The CeMAT Asia International Fair for Materials Handling and Logistics is now famed as the largest event of its kind in China, with Shanghai’s position as the entrepot to the huge domestic market making it the perfect backdrop for this important event.
CeMAT Asia 2007 has attracted more than 420 exhibitors from 19 countries showing off products ranging from warehousing equipment, cold food storage systems, logistics software solutions and services to bulk transport trucks.
Like last year, a big focus at CeMAT Asia 2007 will be advanced RFID technologies and its application in the transport and logistics industry through the 2007 China RFID Forum. Other focused areas include seminars on the cold foods supply chain and logistical developments in modern medicine for the health sector.
CeMAT Asia again features the prestigious ‘China International Logistics Equipment & Technology Symposium 2007′, and the ‘Logistic Engineering Forum, a conference focused specifically on the complexity of military procurement.
PTC Asia 2007
Since its inception in 1991, PTC Asia has become the leading Trade Fair for Power Transmission and Control, and incorporates exhibition space and focused seminars incorporating the Mechanical Transmission, Parts and Equipment Sector, Fasteners and Springs Sector, Compressed Air Sector, and Bearings Sector.
Targeted trade fairs on the PTC Asia show floor include the Fluid Power Show, focussing on hydraulics, pneumatics and seals; the Mechanical Transmission and Parts Show, focussed on gears, transmissions, couplings and brakes; and the Compressed Air Technology show, the largest specialist air compression and vacuum exhibition in the world.
Within the booming China economy, PTC Asia has become an annual staple for the manufacturing, construction and power generation and transmission industries. Since it was first held in 2001, the exhibition – with its specialist conferences and seminars – has grown to become one of the most important events on the calendar for both domestic Chinese and foreign companies.
