Event integration key to CeBIT Asia success

AN intensive pre-show media tour of top industrial cities and regional centers all over China was a key driver in bringing record numbers of business visitors to the CeBIT Asia, CeMAT Asia and PTC Asia events.

Hannover Fairs Shanghai General Manager James Fu said the promotional tour, which targeted professional associations and trade groups, generated enormous media coverage in regional papers and trade journals.

The media coverage helped the market to better understand why CeBIT Asia had been co-located with CeMAT Asia and PTC Asia, Mr Fu said. And from the response on Day One of the exhibitions, the move has been welcomed, by both exhibitors and business visitors.

CeMAT bonus for OHS software specialist

FOR first time CeBIT Asia exhibitor Alliance Interactive, the location of the materials handling and logistics fair CeMAT Asia right next door has been a bonus.

Alliance Interactive, from the Australian State of Victoria, is a multimedia specialist and web site developer that focuses specifically on the occupational Health & Safety sector.

The company’s internet consultant Michael Giuliano said it had become involved in CeBIT Asia to get a better understanding of the China market, and to forge new partnerships.

AFTER enjoying its first export sale six months ago through a deal with the Singapore government, identity management specialist eB2Bcom is confident about its prospects in China.

 

Speaking from the CeBIT Asia 2007 show floor at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, eB2Bcom National Business Development & Strategy Manager Manny Anthoulas said the company had made a lot of progress in the past year.

 

The company’s View500 Identity Management Server had now been successfully sold into large corporate environments like Qantas, Australia Post and Orica, as well as government organisations, including the Victorian Government, NSW Health, ACT Health, and the Tasmanian Government.
