Winches and cranes dangle overhead, yet hard hats are absent from the heads of enthusiastic attendants that man these giant construction machines. This is no construction site, nor has any safety precaution been breached.
It is CeMAT Asia and these monstrous machines are part of a showcase of the latest technologies in the lifting business.
Originally hailing from Finland, Konecranes have set up their stand around a towering bright blue beast of a machine.

Touring the CeBIT Asia 2007 business technology trade fair in Shanghai on opening morning, Mr Garamendi praised organisers for co-locating the giant ICT event with the more industrially-focused shows CeMAT Asia 2007 and PTC Asia 2007.
Technology would play an enormous role in improving the environment, and the co-location of the trade shows would help exhibitors and buyers establish contacts between industries.
